Sound

In your examination, a question related to sound, is asked. In this question, four words are given in the form of four options. Each word has one or two underlined letters. The sound of underlined letters of three words is similar while one of these four words differ in sound from underlined letter/letters. You are to identify that different word whose underlined letters have different sound from the other three words and the option serial of that word is your answer.

In the words given above, the letters 'oo' are underlined as 'oo'. In the first three words, these have song vowel sound like 'u': While in last word, 'look', these letters have weak vowel sound like 'u'. Hence option (d) is your answer.

In the words given above, the two letters 'ea' are underlined as ea. In the first three words, these the sound resembling with 'io' as in 'near' but in fourth word these have sound like 'i:' as in see = /si:/ . Hence your answer is option (d).
