Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow.
The old men of the city said that Socrates did not believe in the gods, and was teaching bad ideas to the young men. So they put him on trial and he was condemned to death. Socrates was not afraid of death. He told his judges that no day should pass without talking to people about truth and goodness. This, he said, was the best thing a man could do. He was taken to prison. His friends offered to help him to escape. But he refused to take any help. After thirty days he was given a cup of poison to drink.. He drank it as if it were water. Then he lay down and soon after died. Today we still remember Socrates as one of the best and wisest men who ever lived. Socrates believed that one must concentrate more on self development than on materialistic things. He encouraged people to develop friendship and love amongst themselves

6. Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions given below:
The state police went to Rastapal village on 19 June, 1947 to close the school which was running in house of Nanabhai Khant. Nanabhai refused to close the school. The police then beat up Nanabhai verely. He fell unconscious. They took him away with them for jailing. However, Nanabhai died of his nunes on the way before the police could reach their camp. After this the police beat up the teacher Singabhai Bheel, who had continued to teach the children despite Nanabhai's death. After beating Sengabhai the police tied him to their truck. They took him away dragging on the road. A student of the school, named Kalibai, could not see this. She ran towards the truck with a sickle to cut the ropes and free Sengabhai.
